What Remains
Though abstract, What Remains engages directly with themes of grief and mourning. I invite viewers to look closely at the surface—where burn marks, smoke, incisions, and sewn red thread create a kind of intimate topography. These gestures turn the paintings into artifacts, bearing witness to what’s been lost and what still lingers. The tactile, handmade nature of the work evokes a visceral response, asking the viewer not just to see, but to feel.
